I meet so many creative people in my work. Creativity can be a solitary pursuit, so I’m always happy to see artists and creators connecting with and collaborating with each other.
Tori, designer at Tori Dany Designs, stylist, model and radiant mama-to-be, part of a group of creative people in Minot, North Dakota and every time I glance at my feeds, it seems like they’re doing something new and interesting.
I asked her to tell us a little more about what they’re up to these days. She responded with what is easily my most Pinterest-worthy guest post yet.
Here’s more from Tori (that’s her and her partner Devyn, in the photos below) and a series of gorgeous images by Thais Photography.
Thanks to everyone in the group for sharing your vision with us. I don’t know about you, but I could use a little more beauty and inspiration in my life and I thank you all for showing us what you’ve created.
Minot, North Dakota has a bunch of talented creatives. Some of the creative entrepreneurs have gathered to create a Minot chapter for the Rising Tide Society’s Tuesdays Together.
What is Tuesdays Together? It’s a meetup on the second Tuesday of every month where makers and small business owners get together for coffee (or wine) and conversation; basically, an open space for idea sharing and goal building. The motto of this collective is community over competition.
The group welcomes everyone from all over North Dakota. Join the Facebook group here.
On Mother’s Day, the creative group put together a bohemian wedding styled photoshoot, which coincidentally was a maternity shoot.
Vendors came together to create four different scenes consisted of the head dining table, cake table, altar, and a seating area. There were photographers, designers, and more involved!
Custom stationary, wedding gown, and cake were made especially for this event. Check out all the amazing vendors involved below!

Isn’t this gorgeous? There’s definitely not another wedding in my future, but I’m already taking a little of this inspiration with me today.
If you are planning a wedding or celebration, I encourage you to drop the folks in this email a line. Celebrating a new stage in your life — whether for a wedding or another kind of celebration — should be deeply personal and filled with joy. These business owners are also artists at heart, so I know they’ll be able to make your vision a reality.
What about you?
If you could plan a wedding, what would you do differently?
What was the theme of your latest celebration?
Which of these vendors do you recommend?
What do YOU create? (Anything counts — a garden, scrapbooks, nail art — anything.)
How would you like to collaborate with other creatives?
