  1. I’m new to your website! But I love the posts featuring restaurants as well as other shops as I’m new-ish to ND and always looking for fun places to check out. I did find it a little hard to find things though – you should add a navigation bar to the top of your website! But once I found the “categories” area I was good to go 🙂 Love it!

    1. Thanks for your feedback, Catherine. I’ve been toying with the idea of a navigation bar for a few months now, and your comment has convinced me that it’s time to make the switch. Thanks for your advice!

  2. I love the blog! I just found you today via the ND Bloggers group. I moved from FL so I’d love maybe a feature that showcases fashion on how to still look cute and fashionable in this crazy weather. Maybe having the shops you feature give advice in this matter. It’d help grow future advertising and sponsored posts if that’s something you would be looking for to.

  3. Love the blog Alicia! I don’t have a lot of time to peruse downtown or other unique places, so I love that you take the time to explore and give details for us. So when I do have time, I follow your advice! Love the small shops and food posts best. Also get a kick out of your motherly humor.

I like the clean lines of the site, but as Catherine said above, it’s a bit difficult to navigate. A nav bar would help.

Really enjoy what you do, keep it up!

    1. Thanks for reading, Melissa! There will definitely be more restaurant and shop profiles to come this year. And a redesign to help make the site a bit more easy to navigate is in the works as well. Thanks for your feedback!

  4. I am new to the area and love all the local event information you provide. I love to shop local and am a foodie at heart so all the posts you make are fabulous for me.

  5. I just like reading anything about what is going on in Fargo, because I miss it. Well, not the weather, but the area. I enjoy reading about things to do, events and fashion. Keep up the great work and thanks for giving me a slice of the midwest. 🙂

  6. Been reading since the beginning, and am loving watching you evolve as a writer, a photographer, a human. I love reading something you have to say about my favorite downtown Fargo haunts, of course…but my favorite is when you write about something I have yet to discover on my own. Through your writing and pictures, I absolutely know of a few places I’d love to check out sometime. I have to agree with the nav bar comments above. ‘Categories’, ‘Archives’, ‘Prairie People’ and ‘Subscribe’ could all use space at the top of the page, right next to ‘About Me’. Ideally, I’d like to see (Archives) with a list of all that month’s blogs. ex: “January 2014 – Get the Goods at Urban Girl, Another Monthly Giveaway: You Pick the Prize, Sweeto Burrito is Neato” or “January 2014 – Urban Girl, Monthly Giveaway, Sweeto Burrito” They don’t each need to be a clickable link, but it is a little overwhelming to think about diving in to so many clicks to find that one thing you’re looking for. Or could you create a photo collage for each month’s link, so that from this page (and every page), you could look for a picture that looks familiar? And what would I like to see more of? Food. Of course. And bars you enjoy, not so much the wild and crazy type, but the ones you can have a conversation in. I’d love to get your recommendation on drinks to have there, what food to order. Loving it so far, kudos to you for looking for feedback!

    1. Aw, thanks Erin! I really appreciate your detailed feedback. I’ve been pondering a redesign for awhile now and your suggestions are right on. The site does have a search feature and clickable archives, but I agree, they can be really overwhelming when you’re trying to remember where you saw something…even for me! I love the photo collage idea. If I can make that work, I’ll definitely do it. Thanks for reading!

  7. I appreciate the articles where you mention the sizes available at a clothing boutique so I know if it is worth my time to visit, as I have difficult proportions to shop for

    1. Thanks for the feedback JoRelle. You have yourself to thank for that feature, so you were the one who gave me the idea! I’ve gotten great feedback on it, so I guess I should really be thanking you!
