Bags, Baubles & Bubbly: A Guest Post

There are so many cool parties and events going on all over the region that I just can’t get to them all! So this spring, I decided to enlist some help.

Prairie People, meet Ashley Wright. Ashley is a Bismarck-based writer who blogs about life, love, food and fashion through a Jane Austen lens at If I Were Jane.

She’s here to give us a look into the Bags, Baubles & Bubbly event she attended in Bismarck a few days ago. The party benefits RSVP+ND, a cool organization that matches volunteers with worthy causes in North Dakota.

RSVP+ND has local chapters in Bismarck, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Fargo, Grand Forks, Jamestown and Minot. This particular event usually happens every March, but there are events going on all year long, so click here to learn what events are happening near you.

Here’s Ashley!

One of the most unique Ladies Nite Out events I’ve ever attended has to be RSVP+ND’s Bags, Baubles, & Bubbly. A group of my co-workers have gone for many years and recruited me to go this year. I mean handbags and champagne are two of this girl’s weaknesses, how could I resist?!

The event is well organized, and it’s definitely worth it to reserve a diva table for you and your friends. You get your own diva dude to wait on you and Thor, our diva dude, kept us entertained throughout the evening.

There are some really great live auctions, which were a little above my price point going for hundreds, but there are also some really great silent auction items I was drooling over. I was super bummed I didn’t get the Laughing Sun Brewing Co. growler and glasses.

Overall, it’s a great ladies nite out and supports a really great non-profit that does a lot of great work in our state. Have fun and feel good about it!
