Craft Beer In The Park: Under Brew Skies

If you’re craving a beer pilgrimage or just want to try more stellar beer from the Upper Midwest, get yourself to Fargo on Saturday, June 17. The North Dakota Brewer’s Guild hosts Under Brew Skies, a celebration of beer from the state as well as the border states of Minnesota and South Dakota. (If you live in or around Fargo, then you have no excuse not to check this out!)

You can sample lots of craft beers, listen to music from Pat Lenertz and Flatlands, nosh on nibbles from food vendors and relax in the shade of downtown Fargo’s Island Park. This is a great chance to try almost all of the North Dakota breweries in one place! Hometown breweries Drekker Brewing Company, Fargo Brewing Company, Prairie Brothers Brewing Company and Kilstone Brewing will all be there.  So will West Fargo’s Flatland Brewery and Mapleton’s Drumconrath Brewing Company.

Rhombus Guys Brewing Company will be driving in from Grand Forks, joined by Laughing Sun Brewing from Bismarck and Buffalo Commons Brewing Company from Mandan.  StoneHome Brewing Company has the longest trek of any North Dakota brewery. They’re joining us from Watford City, in the northwestern corner of the state.

The crew from Crow Peak Brewing Company will be coming up from South Dakota too. Moorhead’s Junkyard Brewing Company heads up the Minnesota delegation that includes Indeed Brewing Company, August Schell Brewing Company, Bent Paddle Brewing Co. and Lift Bridge Brewing Company. (Okay, there’s really not an official Minnesota delation. But I kinda like imagining the the brewers guilds from each state gathering in some kind of epic space — think the Galactic Senate in Star Wars, just with beer.)
