On The Eleventh Day Of Christmas…Stunning Accents From The Lighting Gallery

Editor’s Note: This giveaway is from 2014.

I’m so excited to tell you about the store featured in today’s The 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway.

I really wish I would have known about this place when I was decorating my house a few years ago. It would have made my life a lot easier.

The Lighting Gallery stocks some of the coolest light fixtures I’ve ever seen. I want every single chandelier and pendant lamp in this post — and I wouldn’t mind living in the rooms they’re in either.

The shop also carries accent pieces and home decor items to make your house a home. And there are lots of things that will work in apartments too, so you definitely don’t have to be a homeowner to appreciate the quality design on display in the showroom.

Today’s prize from The Lighting Gallery is the biggest one yet, thanks to the Greater Grand Forks Convention and Visitors Bureau. And tomorrow’s prize will be even bigger!

(A hint — if you’ve been craving a winter giveaway, be sure to check back tomorrow to win!) It’s all part of the The Greater Grand Forks Giveaway.

If you have a new homeowner, newlyweds or a design aficionado on your list, they’ll love a gift (or a gift card) from The Lighting Gallery.

Here are some of my favorite gifts in the store.

Great Gift Ideas:
Decorative Clocks:
There’s something so striking about an oversized clock. I love the graphic quality of a clock against an otherwise bare wall, but they look great as part of a gallery wall too.

And it’s always nice to give something that’s functional. Sara, who works over at The Lighting Gallery, tells me they’re pretty popular gift items as well.

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall:
When you think about it, a mirror is kind of a genius gift. Everybody can find a place for one and they’re usually one of the last things we buy when we’re redecorating. My friend Liz got me one a few years ago and it’s worked in two different houses.

The trick is to have a sense of the recipient’s decorating style (classic, ornate, modern, romantic) and to choose a small to medium-sized mirror that can work in a variety of settings, from the entryway to a hallway to a walk-in closet.

Console Tables and Tabletop Decor:
If your partner has been dropping hints about redecorating a living space, dining room or entryway, a console table or end table might be just the thing. Engage them in a conversation about what they’re looking for (or just look through their Pinterest boards) to get a few clues and bring your discoveries to the staff at The Lighting Gallery.

If you’re buying for someone you don’t know as well (or don’t live with) try a pretty pair of bookends, an interesting accent lamp or tabletop decor that represents their interests or matches their color scheme.
