On The Sixth Day Of Christmas…Discover Something Curious

Editor’s Note: This giveaway is from 2014.

Today The 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway takes the prizes to a whole new level!

Now through the end of the contest, every single prize will be worth at least $100 — and some are worth as much as $300! It’s all part of The Greater Grand Forks Giveaway.

The prize package totals $1,000 and it’s brought to you by the folks at the Greater Grand Forks Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Today you can win fabulous gifts from Curious, a great spot to shop for men, women and kids.

So many of you have commented on the blog and told me that I needed to check this place out as soon as possible and, as usual, you were right on. There are so many cool gift options to choose from at Curious and the sunny little store is such a fun place to shop.

As an added bonus, the shop stocked some unusual items I hadn’t seen before, so it’s a good option for those hard-to-shop-for people on your list. Curious is a brick and mortar store, but if you’re out of the area and you see something you like here, don’t hesitate to give them a ring — contact info is at the bottom of the post.

Here are some of my favorite gifts at Curious.

Great Gift Ideas:
Kitchen Items and Barware:
You’ll find a stellar selection of fun and functional kitchen items and barware at Curious. Home cooks will love the helpful gadgets, inspiring cookbooks and the assortment of colorful serving items and tabletop decor. And there are some wickedly funny tea towels to tuck into a gift, just for a laugh.

I’m a sucker for glassware, so I loved the assortment of interesting tumblers, Moscow mule mugs and highball glasses on the shelves. I especially liked the cool tumblers made from upcycled beer bottles. There’re also some fun flasks, bottle openers and other cocktail-making accoutrements that will make mixologists happy.

Jewelry:
Curious stocks a variety of jewelry, from engraved 14K gold and sterling silver necklaces from Toronto’s Foxy Originals to chunky stone, bead and rope bracelets to stud earrings in simple, striking shapes like hearts, horseshoes and chevrons.

Little Luxuries:
I like to give spa products as gifts, since most people don’t spend a lot of money on pampering themselves. The gifts at Curious are luxurious and lovely to look at, with lots of options to mix and match for a customized gift. Try fragrant, all natural soap from Napa Soap Company, perfumes in pretty bottles, thick lotions or candles.

The Snow Drop Holiday Gift Set contains a little bit of everything, combining seasonally scented hand cream, bath oil, bar soap and a votive candle. Bonus points if you add one of these adorable Ugly Sweater Sock Monkeys!

If sock monkeys are your thing, they had some really cute sock monkey puppets in the kid’s section as well.
