On The Tenth Day Of Christmas…Form Meets Function At Living Sage

Editor’s Note: This giveaway is from 2014.

I want everything in my house to be either functional or beautiful.

The items in the store featured in today’s The 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway are both, which makes it a perfect place to shop for people who love smart products that are both practical and lovely to look at.

Living Sage is a Grand Forks home boutique that sells furniture, linens, home decor items, art, accessories and gifts. Many of these items are carefully chosen treasures from local artists and makers, so you can take home a beautiful item with a great story behind it as well.

You can win a little shopping spree to Living Sage, thanks to the Greater Grand Forks Convention and Visitors Bureau. From now until December 12, each daily prize will be worth at least $100, as part of The Greater Grand Forks Giveaway.

Need a hostess gift? Pick up a handmade bud vase, pretty bowl or a candle.

Got a DIY fanatic on your list? Get them a gallon of Country Chic Chalk Paint in their favorite color and let them go to town.

Browse the refurbished furniture and and pretty linens for yourself. With extended holiday hours and free coffee while you shop, the staff at Living Sage wants to make your holiday shopping experience easy and fun.

Here are some great gifts from Living Sage.

Great Gift Ideas:
A Green Alternative To Paper Towels
Living Sage owner Lisa tells me that these super absorbent, reusable cloths (called Wet-Its) are so popular, they’re replacing paper towels for many of her customers. These green alternatives are durable, biodegradable and they absorb 15 to 16 times their weight.

They last up to six months and can be cleaned and disinfected in the dishwasher or the microwave. And the pretty patterns will look as nice in the kitchen as they do in the box.

Screen Printed Accessories:
I have an absolute obsession with Michelle Brusegaard’s screen-printed scarves and leather earrings. They look tough or hippie-ish depending on how you style them and they’re made by a North Dakota native who now lives in Minneapolis.

Living Sage has a variety of styles to choose from. Tuck a pair of earrings into a stocking, get a few pairs to mix and match or get her a scarf and earring combo.

Cozy Slippers:
You can’t go wrong with something comfy for the homebodies on your list. These slippers are cozy and soft. Plus a portion of the proceeds benefit Women for Women International, so you can do good while you shop.
