I’m not much for all of the Black Friday madness, but I love Small Business Saturday. I’ve shopped my way across several states and a Canadian province for this website and locally owned stores have such a special place in my heart.
Photo of (and by) Ashley Dedin of AENDEE. Ask her nicely and she just might play you a song on that ukelele.
I love that I can directly help a fellow small-business owner live their dream and keep money in my community while crossing things off my Christmas list. And the gifts I find are so much more unique and interesting than anything I’d find at a big box store.
The shopping scene has absolutely exploded since I moved back to North Dakota. So, in honor of Small Business Saturday, here are a few of my favorite shops in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Manitoba for you to check out this season.
