Street Style: Colorful Summer Layers

Leanne Sucrow is an interior designer and owner of The Green Room design service and furniture store in Fargo.

She’s also my boss lady at the studio, an occasional shop featuring handmade, upcycled and vintage items where I sell (shameless plug alert) Prairie Style Vintage clothing and accessories every third weekend (Thursday-Saturday) of the month.

She also has a great look — colorful and eclectic, but always balanced. She’s a woman who can wear an entire outfit of statement pieces and it looks totally right.

She kindly let me take her photo at the studio’s July event so you can see what I mean. I love how the liberal use of gold pulls everything in this outfit together.

Leanne’s smart to keep her hair and make-up simple to let the gilt and bright colors do their thing. I’m always impressed when people can pull of summer layers and still stay cool.

And the best part? This outfit is almost entirely thrifted. She’s a girl after my own heart.
