Street Style: Courtney

When I saw Courtney Schur working at the counter at One World Boutique in downtown Fargo, her flame red hair and curve-conscious outfit reminded me of a modern day Joan Halloway.

Fargo North Dakota Street Style Black Dress

Courtney knows how to work her angles as well Christina Hendricks’ character does, highlighting a tiny waist with a perfectly placed peplum.

The look is both sultry and tailored. The structured silhouette is short but ladylike and sheer tights tease, but don’t reveal too much. This feat is even more impressive when Courtney reveals that what looks like a dress is actually a romper with a skirt over the top.

Fargo North Dakota Street Style Headband

When it comes to styling, the Fargo native has a flair for the dramatic, with sideswept hair and a fabulous sequined headband from another downtown merchant, O’Day Cache.

Courtney’s bracelets and chunky rings are strong enough to hold their own against the other elements in the outfit, but far enough from the action to ensure that her hair, ruffled neckline and glasses take center stage.
