The Fargo Craft Beer Tour Winner — And Another Chance To Win

Lots of you commented on your favorite beer for a chance to win tickets to the Fargo Craft Beer Tour on May 10 and I’m so glad you did. Your suggestions were awesome! I totally have my shopping list for my next beer run.

Some of you are hopheads, some of you are obsessed with porters and stouts and still others love complex Belgian brews or a smooth, summery shandy. Local breweries like Summit, Junkyard Brewing Company and Fargo Brewing Company were well represented, but you loved beers from tiny nanobreweries, esoteric European brews, beer nerd cult classics and famous American lagers from the big name breweries as well.

If you ever want new beer ideas, just stop back and check out the comments. You guys know your stuff and it sounds like we all have a productive summer of beer drinking ahead of us. Maybe a party is in order?

But first, I’d better announce who will be partying with us for free next Saturday.

Deacon Heemstra, you and a friend are going to the Fargo Craft Beer Festival on May 10th.

Deacon loves Boulevard Brewing Company’s Tank 7 (ooh, I love the Smokestack Series) and Junkyard Brewing Company’s Coachgun, which I look forward to trying. Deacon, look for an email from alicia@prairiestylefile.com today that will tell you how to claim your prize.

If you didn’t win today, I have some good news — you have another chance to win on Facebook this week! Just follow Prairiestylefile.com on Facebook and look for the contest announcement on Tuesday morning.

Thanks for playing and sharing your favorite beers with me. If you’re going to the event on Saturday be sure to follow me on Twitter @PrairieStylFile, on Facebook or Instagram so we can meet up and have a beer.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

P.S. I have a marketing partnership with the crew at the Fargo Craft Beer Tour so technically, this is a sponsored post. I only promote brands and events that I love and want to tell you all about. Thanks for helping me make a living promoting cool events in the Upper Midwest.
