The Medora, North Dakota Road Trip Giveaway

Happy Tuesday, #PrairiePeople!

By the time you read this, I’ll already be on the road to White Bear Lake, Minnesota, as part of my #PrairiePlaces summer road trip. And I wanted to give you a chance to win a road trip prize package of your own!

I’m headed to Medora, North Dakota later this month with my friend Naomi and my little guy for what is sure to be the zaniest mash-up of a kid trip/girls’ weekend ever.(I predict E will just flirt relentlessly with his “Auntie Noh-mi” the entire time.) I have instructions just to shut up and drive and not to judge them for the amount of fruit snacks they have both assured me they are going to consume.

Since we’re going to be having fun in western North Dakota, this month’s giveaway highlights that part of the state. Our friends over at North Dakota Tourism are giving away a sweet road trip survival kit with provisions to make your car ride – or your next outdoor adventure – a little more enjoyable. This month’s winner will receive a cinch daypack filled with bison jerky, sunflower seeds, a water bottle and Prairie Roasters coffee to keep you happy and alert on the road.

The prize package also includes a copy of “Theodore Roosevelt National Park Impressions”, a coffee table book filled with gorgeous shots of the painted canyons and badlands bluffs of North Dakota’s only National Park. The National Park System celebrates 100 years this August, so it’s a perfect time to visit — or to page through the book if you can’t.

And speaking of this scenic part of the state, the fabulous folks from Medora are throwing in a pair of tickets to the Medora Musical! The high-energy musical revue is a North Dakota classic. It’s performed outdoors in the Burning Hills Amphitheatre and the naturally beautiful scenery is almost as compelling as the action on the stage.

I’d love to get you there for free! One lucky winner will take home everything I’ve described in this post. This contest is open to everyone, all over the world.

You can enter as often as once a day and spreading the word on social media increases your chances of winning, so tell your friends! The contest closes at midnight on June 21 and a winner will be notified via social media.

And if you’ve been to Medora before, let me know what I should see there! I have plans, of course, but ny best tips always come from you.

Editor’s Note: Clearly this contest has ended, but the links are still useful. Stay tuned for more Medora giveaways!

Good luck!

  1. Everyone should see the Medora Musical atleast once in their life! Especially if you grew up in North Dakota. I’ve only missed 3 years of the musical in my 26 years of life. It’s a family favorite vacation.

  2. We absolutely love Medora! We visited pre-season this year and would love a second trip to see the musical 🙂

  3. Hi Alicia, nice to meet you! Thank you for the other day! I would like to visit North Dakota someday. Your pictures are amazing! I love them! Please visit my blog about staying America too I hope to see you someday somewhere♡
