The Softer Side of Leather

Leather is everywhere this spring, but it’s not the usual edgy, tough looks that are getting press.

Instead, designers are experimenting with draping, pleats, muted colors and intricate details that make leather suddenly look soft and romantic.

Which one of these looks is your favorite?

Laid-Back Bohemian

This laser cut leather T is a showstopper, but it looks delicate and almost casual when paired with cuffed, slouchy boyfriend jeans and flat sandals.

Choose a bag and accessories that have personality, but will let the intricate details of the shirt really shine.

Vintage Gamine

Leather shorts look positively sweet when worn with relaxed T and ladylike flats.

Pairing black leather with soft shades like blush and rose temper the leather’s intensity. Vintage-inspired touches like pearls and lace add a touch of whimsy.

The Romantic

This skirt looks so light and airy, it’s hard to believe it’s leather. When the flattering A-line skirt is paired with a streamlined lace shell, it creates a  silhouette that compliments almost any body type.

Pretty wedges balance the skirt’s proportions and delicate accessories compliment the spring-friendly color of the skirt without distracting from the overall look.

Elegant and Casual

Take the edge off of leather pants with a tissue-thin top in one of the season’s hottest pastels.

Vacation-friendly accessories like a slouchy bag, dressed up sandals and a beachy fedora keep the vibe approachable yet elegant.
