Clockwise from left: A Good Mandarin is Hard to Find (OPI), In the Red (Sally Hansen), Gidget (Orly) A Cut Above (essie)
Summer is the best time to play around with bright polish colors – pedicures are on full display and a summer tan opens up a whole new range of color choices.
I usually alternate orange and candy apple red on my toes, but there are so many great shades in stores that I’ve been trying tropical-inspired pedis and replacing my usual gray and silver manicures with neon brights.
If you’re gun shy or worried about maintenance, try something with crazy texture like the essie polish shown above. It’s clear with lots of multifaceted glitter that you can wear alone or layer over another shade. It’s really fun and makes your nails look vaguely like gumdrops.
